Team Building

Forget the Lego towers! Do you want a teambuilding event that is:

positive

provides a stimulating experience of working together as a team

practical

tackles real issues and identifies real opportunities

potent

ends with the team committed to a set of challenging action plans

At ADI we specialise in running teambuilding events that enable groups who work together to improve their relationships whilst tackling genuine problems and planning future activities. Our events are very pragmatic, with much emphasis on real issues and using the resources and goodwill within the team. We use self-awareness questionnaires, paired and group activities, skills practice and coaching, structured feedback, mentoring, mediation and techniques designed to foster creativity and innovation - all of which can be applied to the current opportunities and challenges facing the team. We include short, powerful inputs on relevant topics as they arise, such as: frameworks for understanding attitudes and behaviour, group processes, the impact of change, handling stress, dealing constructively with conflict - again with the focus on applying the theory to the real world!

We will be delighted to talk to you about how we can help you develop your team. We especially enjoy the challenge of devising new teambuilding options that use a mix of approaches. There is no charge for such a consultation.

A typical workshop includes:

  • Contracting - agreeing the outcomes and ground rules for the event
  • Where are we now - identifying strengths and weaknesses
  • Where could we be going - the opportunities and challenges
  • What makes a team - and how do we want our team to function
  • Ways of working together - how can we create a healthy and stimulating climate
  • Where shall we go - agreeing our vision for the future
  • Commitment to action - agreeing our objectives for the future
  • What could go wrong - and creating the best conditions for success
  • What now - preparing individual and group action plans
